1. The waterfront property of the volunteers’ house gives you a good scenic view of the lower Volta. There are many activities that volunteers can engage in during their stay.

2. Relax for the evening sunset – The evening sunset that last at times for 2 hours is mesmerizing. You got to see it to feel its effect.

3.Fisher folks – Volunteers can observe fishing activities from the property. Due to even sand-bed in the location, many fishermen come to the location to harvest oysters.

4. Visit Village women – Volunteers can take a walking trip to see the local community. Occupations of the people in the surrounding villages are farming, straw mats & baskets weaving, processing of oyster for market. The friendliness of these people will give you second thought of life at its barest.

5. Sport Activities – There is a table-tennis board, volleyball court for group and family related activities. Due to the constant breeze at the location guests could fly kites as well as volunteers teaching children to make and fly kites.

6. Fishing – Indeed, there’s nothing more serene than sitting by the shore of a lake or a river for sport fishing. Volunteers who know how to fish can engage in this activity in the area. Volunteers who don’t know can also learn how to fish from the river bank with help of our staff. 

7. Hiking: Plan a hike with the local community members through the various communities and observing the changing terrain of low grass savannah vegetation to marshy-mangroves vegetation and its ecology.

8. Boat – Rent a boat that comes with a skipper for a trip to nearby islands including crocodile & Rum Island and to the estuary. Don’t miss on the views along the river bank.

9. Bird Watch – The location of the property makes it the best spot for bird watchers. It is not far from Avu lagoon and other mangroves setting it right on the path of many migratory birds. Don’t forget your binocular.

10. Bonfire – What else could feel warmth than be by the fireside at night sharing stories.

11. Picnic – We have a beautiful garden which serves an ideal ground for picnic and other group get-together activities.
